Ricky Valentine (5 months old)

Rick Enzo got to watch his first Superbowl with Daddy and Papi.  He didn't win any money on the big game, but it's safe to say he will be a sports fan the way his eyes light up when he watches ESPN with Daddy.
As Ricky turned 5 months old at almost 15 lbs,  he expanded his palate with peas, sweet potatoes, lentils, and pears, messy and delicious. All that yummy food has him gaining weight and gaining strength.  He is becoming an expert roller, and even barrel rolled his way off the play mat onto the hardwood floor.  Woopsie! Now he is rolling and belly scooting all around his crib instead of sleeping, looking for just the right comfy spot.  But Rick Enzo must be catching some zzz's because he is an active dreamer!...you can catch him whimpering, smiling, frowning and even letting out an alarming cry all while he is sound asleep.   By Valentine's Day our little Cupid officially became a belly & side-sleeper....although the sleeping part is still inconsistent.  Yet, Ricky always wakes up smiling!
Rick Enzo's hand coordination is evident when he reaches out to grab any and everything Mommy is holding.  He is also very helpful at turning the lights on and off now.  Ricky finally found his little feet too! He grabs onto them and just rolls around in hysterics.  He tries to put his binky in his mouth, but usually has it backwards.  Rick Enzo has definitely started teething this month, so maybe he likes sucking on the back end of the binky!  So far his favorite teething toys are all from Auntie Kelly- Sophie, the Dinosaur, and Blue Giraffe.  It's definitely a little rough waiting for those sharp teeth to pop through, but he's a trooper, and laughs even when he is fussing.  What a champ!
We got to celebrate Fiorella turning 2 this month and meet lots of new friends at her birthday party.  Ricky had his first driving lesson, but he is a little reckless behind the wheel.  Maybe that's because he is too busy talking.  I swear he says "Mmmmm" when he is eating.  Maybe his first words are right around the corner.
Mommy's Favorite of the Month: celebrating her birthday with Rick Enzo:  "Another year older,  but what a great life changing one it has been. At 36 I finally know the greatest and deepest love possible, and I could not ask for a better gift. If birthdays are for reflection,  now I can forever look back and say I have created life; I have left my imprint on the world, and I will do my very best to ensure it is a strong and positive one. I cannot celebrate mine without including Rick Enzo, for he has given it a whole new meaning. Sleep or no sleep, we are loving this new life."
Daddy's Favorite of the Month: Having Ricky cheer him & the Jaguars on at the Final Conference Championship Game;  we are bummed the season is over, but daddy is happy to have more free time to spend with Riri
