Marching into Spring (6 months old)

Rick Enzo is 6 months old! How did half a year fly by so quickly? Our little man isn't so little anymore, over 16 pounds now and ready to move.  Ricky is barrel rolling more confidently, sitting up tall and all on his own, back stroking across the floor, and belly scooting counterclockwise- not forward! His 2 new teeth are certainly helping him eat more, although they did cause him quite of bit of discomfort for a few days. We all survived by cuddling, drinking coffee, and finding every type of teething toy possible...including gnawing on apples.  We even resorted to long afternoon car rides when desperate for a nap.  But, Mommy & Daddy turned it into a mini "date" by catching up and talking about our future plans for our little family.  Poor baby! Teething is tough.  He still giggles in between the whimpers, which is very amusing.
When the first teething storm settled, Ricky revealed some new traits and quirks.  Want a laugh?...just say "achoo" or any word beginning with "B" and Rick Enzo cracks up.   Papi calls him "Boosted" all the time now.  Ricky's lung capacity must have increased too, because he sure can scream; thankfully it's all from excitement.  We love our dance parties in the livingroom, and Daddy is introducing him to lots of classics, especially Eddie Money songs.  Rick Enzo is a good eater, although easily distracted by the new world around him.  Our food and drinks are no longer ours...Ricky wants to bite into anything in our hands, including our fingers!
This month we welcomed newest cousin Baby Aiden Conner Pawlowski, another friend for Ricky.  Mommy is working a little more, so Ricky and Daddy get to spend some more quality time together. Ricky's new favorite toy is the itsy bitsy spider book, and he still loves his Valentine book from Gigi; we "read"/ chew them every morning after breakfast in the front room as the sun shines in the large bay window.  As spring approaches, we are enjoying more sunny days and walks in the big boy stroller seat so Ricky can see all his surroundings.  We also hopped into the big swimming pool at GSU to test out Ricky Enzo's sea legs; he seemed to enjoy the water, splashing and kicking around.
Overall, this month was true to the spring metaphor "in like a lion, out like a lamb."  Now that we are all sleeping well and basketball season is over, we are ready for sunshine and all the adventures next month has in store for us.
Newest Skill: giving high fives
Ricky's Favorite Foods:  Greek yogurt and fruit for breakfast, sweet potatoes, peas, chicken and for dinner, oatmeal with bananas!  Mommy loves breakfast for dinner too;)
Fun Fact:  all Ricky's food is in the shapes of hearts, pumpkins or skulls because those are the silicone trays we had on hand to freeze his food in big batches😄
