April Showers Didn't Spoil Our Fun (7 months old)

Rick Enzo is 7 months old! He is growing longer and his little hands are now big enough to hold Mommy's in the sweetest little grasp. Our days are filled with blowing raspberries/bubbles, high fives and peek a boo.  Ricky still likes to snuggle and crawl & climb on mommy, but will surprise you with a sudden game of peek a boo where he nuzzles into your chest and then pops up with that big smile.  He scoots and belly crawls, but hasn't gotten the hang of hands and knees crawling yet.  However, near the end of the month Mommy caught him on the monitor getting all the way up to hands and knees roaming around in his crib at night time.  Although he can get up and rock on his hands and knees, Ricky seems to prefer standing on his strong legs and screams with excitement in his exer-saucer because he can jump on his feet.  He likes the hanging monkeys and slides them back and forth if you ask him (see video).  Our Ricky is starting to respond to his name and will even kick his feet on demand.  Rick Enzo is a great helper and working on his fine motor skills, turning off the lights, shutting doors, and picking up food on his tray.  We also started swim lessons this month at Bear Paddle with Gigi and Fia. Ricky is not scared of floating on his back or being dunked! In fact he is a natural in the water, kicking like crazy and puffing his cheeks to blow the air out.
With so many beautiful sunny days, Ricky has been enjoying many long walks in the stroller along all the paths in our neighborhood.  Mom & Gigi love taking trips to the park now that Ricky discovered the swings.  We also began some Easter traditions, like seeing the Bunny, dying eggs, and strolling in the Chocolate Chase 5k with Aunty Kelly and cousins Hunter & Aiden, Dana and Bennet.  Although, Ricky and Bennet slept through the entire walk.  Our Easter holiday was a whirlwind, seeing both sides of the family, but Ricky was a trooper and enjoyed his Easter baskets from his Aunties, Gigi, and Busia.
Favorite Toys:  Furry Animal Book from Mrs Manchen & God's Strangest Creatures Book from Busia, both of which have various textures Ricky loves feeling and is learning to "pet" and "make nice" instead of pinching!
Funny Fact:  If you ever had any doubts about why they refer to the resting position in yoga as  "child's pose" just watch Ricky sleep! ...face down, bootie up
