June - Summer is here! (9 months old)

Rick Enzo had his 9 month check-up visit- 20 pounds and 28 inches.  This growing boy is getting too strong and adventurous for Mama's liking...let's just say his attempts at chin-ups on his crib and gates are impressive.  He is also getting good at climbing stairs, and we practice his skills at the park.  Lately, Ricky just seems torn between wanting to cling to mommy and wanting to explore the world. We had our first trip to the zoo, where we hung out with cousins Hunter & Aiden.  The boys loved it.  Rick Enzo was pointing to all the birds and laughed at the monkeys.  He was mesmerized by the snakes...good thing Daddy wasn't there for that.
We also celebrated Father's Day, and Ricky sure loves his daddy.  By the end of the month he said "dada."  Rick Enzo also tries to say ball, light, bubbles, Busia, and Gigi.  He just loves to point and babble!  Ricky is now big enough to ride in the push car, which Fia reluctantly allows.  He loves cruising the neighborhood because he can really see and point to everything much better.  We are really making the most of summer, spending as much time in the kiddie pool as possible, thanks to Aunt Elaine.
Fun Fact:  Ricky likes pickles and sauerkraut!

Ricky's Favorite Activities:  being a nosey neighbor- standing in front of the bay window and watching all the action outside-especially the birds;  playing hide & seek- or being chased while speed crawling.
