Sleepless In September (first month at home)

After a few days in the hospital monitoring Rick Enzo's billirubin levels, we finally came home on Saturday September 8th.  We showed him his room, the Riri Tree we picked out (and Papi & Gigi planted), and took him on a little walk down the block.  All month long we were blessed with family and friends visiting for snuggle time and bringing so much food.  How lucky Riri is to have so many people who love him so much! Busia came over often to help around the house and reassure the new mommy.  We took him to our place, Swallow Cliff, within the first week.  On our anniversary we all went to The Chapel to celebrate 3 years of marriage and then to Harvest Room- his first breakfast out...although he slept through the whole meal.  Ricky was a hungry fella, eating about every 2 hours with mama.   He loved laying on our chests, and we loved it just as much.  We were amazed at his strength and ability to hold his head up on his own immediately.   Daddy said Ricky looked like a little seal, and fittingly played "Kissed By a Rose" during tummy time.  All that beautiful dark hair never fell out like everyone thought it would, and Mommy loved spiking it up like a little mo-hawk.   It was a beautiful sunny September and we spent as much time outside as possible.  We went by Papi & Gigi's house for our first Sunday dinner for Daddy's birthday; Riri was the best gift for him:)  Although these first 4 weeks were lacking in sleep, the snuggles made it all worth it.  Slowly but surely, we were all learning our new roles in our beautiful little family of three.
