Spooktacular October (1 month old)

Well we all survived the first month, and boy did it fly by! October was awesome and full of so many great moments for Rick Enzo.  Mommy started taking him more places and attending the breastfeeding group at Palos Hospital on Tuesdays, so Riri made some new friends.  Every meeting, we do a weight check and discuss feeding issues or concerns. And yes, he is still a great eater!  Sleeping was still not his strong suit, but slowly improved by the end of the month.  Ricky was still at champ at tummy time.  The best part of the month was seeing Ricky start to smile and laugh.  Ricky thinks Mommy is hilarious; the first thing to make him laugh on demand was Mommy making funny motor noises with her lips.  He became more alert and aware of mommy and daddy, especially voices and faces.  Seeing that big smile on his face melted mama's heart.
We began seeing a little routine this month, waking up around 7am-ish everyday.  Mama would sit at the kitchen table every morning and play music.  Ricky had the boob & mama had oatmeal.  We would eat, sing, dance, do some tummy time, and be ready for a nap.  All that quality time meant Ricky was a bit of a mama's boy, especially since Daddy started basketball season and had a demanding schedule.  But, Daddy started giving Ricky bottles of mom's milk, and Mama had her first solo-outing.  You bet there were tears...but not from Riri!  Looks like Riri wasn't the only one with attachment issues.
The weather was still beautiful and we took advantage by continuing walks around the neighborhood and more trips to Swallow Cliff.  We went to the Farm and The Little Red Schoolhouse with Fia, Papi and Gigi and saw lots of pumpkins.  Fia always asks for Riri and loves petting him so gently, just like Hunter.  Ricky is so lucky to have such loving and interested cousins- and 2 more on the way!  On Halloween we had everyone over for our 3rd Annual Trick or Treat Party.  Ricky's cousins came to play, and his newest buddy CJ (Christian) who is only 3 weeks younger....future best buds, just like Mommy & Rebecca :)   Ricky wore his cute outfit from Auntie Kelly ("My Mummy Loves Me") and Mommy was a Mummy.  What a great month!
